Inositol Powder

Naturally derived from bran, inositol provides nutritional support and offers a broad spectrum of biological activites, It is useful as an anxiolytic at higher doses and maybe effective against insulin resistance (diabetes) and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).  Also useful against cancer: participation in signal transduction, ability to enhance NK-cells, inhibiting cell cycle, induction of differentiation in transformed cells and activation of programmed death pathways.

Recommended dose: a serving of 1 tablespoon provides 11.2g of inositol. Usual dose is 1/2 to 2 tablespoons a day. Note that for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), it is taken in the range of 600-4,000mg once daily before breakfast; the higher dose seems to be used more often and seems more effective. Neurological usage of inositol requires higher doses between 14-18g daily.

One bottle provides 90 servings.

Dr. Chang: Because of the extensive research and lack of interactions and side-effects, I use this supplement readily (in capsule or powdered form) as a preventative against cancer or cancer recurrences. I use one tablespoon a day for prevention and 2 tablespoons a day in those with active cancer.
